Aside from her teaching and conservative, the Royal Academy is known for its important collections of art on display (not without limitations) at its headquarters in Alcala. Arts Abroad: Among the many notable works, highlights a Bust of Christ by Giovanni Bellini, Correggio in San Jeronimo, a great view of Venice by Leandro Bassano, The Arcimboldo Spring (the only example in Spain), as well as Susan and old Rubens, Venus and Mercury by Louis Michel art van Loo and La Marquise de Llano dressed in the Spanish Mengs.
The museum also displays sculptures, mainly from the eighteenth century onwards, as well as casts of Roman sculptures, including New york some brought by Velazquez and therefore involving special interest. The Academy is also a rich collection of drawings by Spanish and Italian, with some examples of other European schools.
